Leading On...
I am now currently doing Part 2 of 'Design and Business Collaboration'...This is leading on from Part 1 in which the brief involves you work as an individual to write your own brief that helps you develop a career focused body of work, in relation and development to your proposed business concept in part 1....
The basis of my brief is to create a collection for spring/summer 2013 based on the theme of birds. For this I will produce a range of swatches/samples and visualisations for the interior market. These designs will be used for reupholstering chairs, incorporating mainly embroidery as well as the use of recycled materials and fragmentation/collage.

Its Been A While...
Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, my recent uni modules have been business based and work
experience preparation...
In Part 1 of 'Design and Business Collaboration', the brief was to work within a team and in an industry context to create a business concept and plan. My chosen industry was 'Designer Maker' and I worked within a team of 5 people as the team leader.
Our proposed business concept was 'Requirk'; "We use print, embroidery, knit and weave to reupholster furniture in a quirky, unique way, inspired by current trends and also by you, the customer"
Below is our company name, logo and strapline and also the colour palette for the business...
