Initial Research...

Due to the nature of this project, i have decided to go down the floral route, however i do  not want to be focusing on the obvious so once my initial research and drawings have been created, i will develop and push this idea...
Firstly i made a trip to 'The Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses', where i took a large amount of photographs and gathered a lot of inspiration...
I have compiled a sketchbook together of my photographs along with botanical illustrations...Below are a selection of images from this sketchbook...

New Project...Design, Production and Application!

Thought id update everyone on my current project...its a LIVE brief! (scary!)

Our briefing was given to us by Hartman, who are a big outdoor furniture company (http://www.hartmanuk.co.uk/). Our design brief is to design the cushion covers for their seating and incorporate the theme/concept of our choice...

Below is an image of their best seller (both chair and design) to give you an idea...



At the end of the project there is the chance of 4 people having there work taken by the company; 2x overall winners-£1000 each (1x Product and 1x Textile) and 2x runner up prizes of £500 each (1x Product and 1x Textile)
